About Josef's Table
Josef's Table represents a journey begun 50 years ago in a small mountain village near Vienna where the old folk remembered a time before two world wars when the Hapsburgs ruled most of Europe and their capital fused the best of the world's bounty - of art and music and an incomparable cuisine.
At the age of fifteen, Josef Schibanetz began an apprenticeship in one of Vienna's great old-world hotel kitchens. He mastered the grand Austro-Italian tradition and refined his palate as he cooked around the world - in the finest restaurants in Europe, on cruise ships, at Brennan's in New Orleans and at great resorts in North and South America.
And to South Florida, where he now brings an increasingly sophisticated cuisine, still at heart Austro-Italian but now reflecting a modern taste and lightness, a Euro-Fusion of food and drink and the slightest dash of nostalgia.
